However you intend to use 1Password SaaS Manager, from spend management to employee onboarding and offboarding, we recommend configuring the following settings early on so that they're ready when you need them.
- Connect your identity provider(s) (IdPs) if you haven't already.
- Set up SAML SSO so your users can access Password SaaS Manager easily and securely. Alternatively, you can configure user requests to manage new users manually.
- Configure Password SaaS Manager emails to be sent from your own domain to improve the experience for your end users.
- Update your organization details and select the currencies to use for spend data.
- If you have more than one IdP, prioritize your sources of person profile data. You can also configure person type rules to determine whether an individual should be listed as an employee, contractor or service account.
- Set your "Teams" source so that you can filter and report SaaS usage by department.
- Configure "person type rules" to determine whether an individual should be listed as an employee, contractor or service account.
Once you have these settings in place, you're ready to begin managing your SaaS. We recommend you start by triaging your Apps inventory.
