Docebo

Note: 1Password SaaS Manager was previously named Trelica. Some commands and integrations still use or refer to Trelica. Follow directions as written to avoid errors.

How does 1Password SaaS Manager work with Docebo?

1Password SaaS Manager helps IT teams keep on top of what SaaS software has been bought, how much money is being spent on it, how well it's being used and whether everything is compliant from a security and privacy point of view.

SaaS Manager can connect directly to different SaaS tools (like Docebo) to extract up-to-date information about which of your users are using Docebo, and how regularly they are logging in. This will help you improve engagement, deprovision unused seats, and prepare for your license renewal.

You must be an administrator of your Docebo site in order to connect with SaaS Manager.

As an administrator, you may have received an invitation from someone in your IT team asking you to connect Docebo to SaaS Manager.

Setting up the OAuth2 client in Docebo

Each Docebo instance is separate and this means that you have to set-up an OAuth2 client in Docebo in order for SaaS Manager to connect.

Log in to Docebo and select the Settings cog icon at the top-right and then choose Add New Apps.

Choose the Third party integrations menu option, and make sure the API and SSO third party integration is activated. When active, it will be clearly marked with a black Active box.

Select the Settings cog icon to configure API and SSO:

Select the API Credentials menu option, then select Add OAuth2 App:

Enter the following details:

Field Value
App Name SaaS Manager
App icon You can download a SaaS Manager icon which you can then upload to Docebo
Client ID sassmanager_usage
Redirect URL

The URL required will vary depending on whether you are using the trelica.app or trelica.eu environments:

https://app.trelica.com/IntegrationsApi/Integrations/Figma/AuthCallback https://eu.trelica.com/IntegrationsApi/Integrations/Figma/AuthCallback

You can enter what you want for the App Description but we suggest:

1Password SaaS Manager gives IT teams insight into what apps are in use and why, so you can make informed decisions about spend, information security & data privacy.

Now select and copy the Client Secret to your clipboard as you will need this when connecting to Docebo in SaaS Manager

Select Confirm to close the dialog.

You will be taken back to the list of OAuth2 clients. You MUST select the black tick icon to enable the client. When enabled a green tick will be shown next to the SaaS Manager description.

The OAuth2 client is now configured in Docebo.

Connecting to Docebo from SaaS Manager

If you received an email asking you to set up the integration, then select the link, otherwise login to SaaS Manager and go to Integrations to get started.

In the Search box, type in Docebo. Select the Docebo logo to open the page for the integration, then select Connect.

You will now have to enter some details to connect. First of all enter your Docebo Url (probably something like https://yourcompany.docebosaas.com).

The OAuth2 Client ID is the same as you entered when configuring the client in Docebo, i.e. saasmanager_usage

For the OAuth Client Secret, paste in the secret that Docebo created for you and that you should have copied to your clipboard.

Select Connect.

You will then be asked to login to Docebo (if you aren't already logged in) and shown a message explaining that SaaS Manager wants to connect to your organization's Docebo site:

Select Authorize and you will be taken back to SaaS Manager.

After a short pause, SaaS Manager will start to synchronize with Docebo and you'll see a green tick when everything is done.

Although this shouldn't take long, you don't have to wait for this to happen - once you're back in SaaS Manager feel free to go off and do other things.

Select the View application to go to the Docebo profile page and see more information.

At this point you may wish to review the user list or fill in more information about the number of seats you have, when you renew your Docebo license.
