OpenAI Platform

To view usage and activity information for OpenAI Platform in 1Password SaaS Manager, you'll need an Admin API key from your OpenAI account to allow SaaS Manager to record information about AI consumption.

Follow these steps to create an Admin API key and add it to SaaS Manager:

  1. As an Organization Owner in your OpenAI account, sign in to your account on OpenAI Platform, then navigate to Organization settings > Admin keys.
  2. Create a new Admin API key, then follow the steps depending on your use case:
    • If you only need read-only data about AI consumption, select the Read only permission. You can also select Restricted, then set Audit Logs Scope, Usage API Scope, and Organization Administration to Read.
    • If you need to directly provision or deprovision users based on AI consumption data, select All. You can also select Restricted, then set Audit Logs Scope and Usage API Scope to Read and set Organization Administration to Write.
  3. Copy the key to your clipboard, then sign into SaaS Manager and navigate to Integrations > OpenAI Platform.
  4. Select Connect, then paste the Admin API key from your clipboard into the field.
  5. Turn on the features you want to use depending on your permission choices in step 2:
    • If you only need read-only access, select the Account activity checkbox.
    • If you need to provision or deprovision users, select every checkbox.
  6. Select Connect.
