OpenAI Platform

To view user activity or AI usage information for OpenAI Platform in 1Password SaaS Manager, you'll need an Admin API key from your OpenAI account so SaaS Manager can start recording information.

Follow these steps to create an Admin API key in OpenAI Platform and add it to SaaS Manager:

1. As an Organization Owner in your OpenAI account, sign in to OpenAI Platform, then navigate to Organization settings > Admin keys.
2. Create a new Admin API key, then under Permissions, select Restricted.
3. Set Fine-tuning Checkpoints to None, then set the remaining permissions depending on your use case:
   • If you want to recover AI usage data, set Audit Logs Scope to Read.
   • If you want to record user activity, set Usage API Scope to Read. 
   • If you want to provision or deprovision users through SaaS Manager, set Organization Administration to Write. Otherwise, set it to Read.
4. Copy the key to your clipboard. You may want to save your key in your secrets manager in case you need to access it later.
5. Sign into SaaS Manager and navigate to Integrations > OpenAI Platform.
6. Select Connect, then paste the Admin API key from your clipboard into the field.
7. Turn on the features you want to use depending on your permission choices in step 3:
   • If you want to record user activity, select the Account activity checkbox.
   • If you want to provision or deprovision users, select the Provisioning and Deprovisioning checkboxes.
   • If you want to record AI usage data, select the AI Consumption checkbox.
8. Select Connect.
