1Password SaaS Manager connects with Productboard using the OAuth2 protocol. This is a straightforward and secure way to connect two applications.
You'll need to log in to Productboard and grant SaaS Manager permission to access certain data or functionality. Where possible, we recommend using a service account to connect, since the access is tied to the user you log in to Productboard with. The integration will stop working if this user’s account in Productboard is deactivated.
Before you can connect SaaS Manager to Productboard, you'll need to make sure SCIM is turned on in Productboard. This may require an enterprise Productboard account. See the Productboard SCIM documentation for more information.
- In SaaS Manager, go to Integrations and find Productboard.
- Select the Productboard icon to see the details of the integration.
- Select Connect.
- Select the Provisioning and Deprovisioning checkboxes.
-
You'll need to provide an Access Token. To generate this:
- Go to
https://<your_workspace>.productboard.com/, then navigate to Workspace Settings > Integrations > Public APIs > Access Token. See the Productboard Authentication documentation for more information.
Note: If this section isn't visible, your account may be on the Essentials plan. Access to API tokens requires at least a Pro plan. You may be able to choose the features you want to enable.
The permissions requested by SaaS Manager may vary depending on the features selected. You can review these in the Required permissions section. - Go to
- Select Connect again if required and you'll be redirected to the login screen for Productboard.
- Log in when requested, and grant permissions to SaaS Manager if asked.
If you logged in successfully, you'll be taken back to SaaS Manager and the integration will start running.
