Pleo regularly post about API deprecation and replacement with a new API. This has been pushed back by 6 months several times. Currently the date given is 1st Jan 2026, but this may change. In the meantime the only API supported is the so-called 'legacy' API which is used by the Trelica integration.
- Open the Pleo web app and go to your Settings.
- Click on Open API.
- Click on Create token in the top right corner.
The token is only displayed once, so it's important to copy and paste it into Trelica straight away.
What data is returned by Pleo?
When you connect to Pleo, like with other spend integrations, you will be prompted to select the accounts that you want to pull data from.
Trelica will request all expenses assigned to the selected accounts where the state has moved beyond 'Authorization' (i.e. 'Authorization' or 'Authorization Reversal' are both excluded). 'Failed' card transactions are also excluded.
Expenses are returned regardless of whether they have been exported from Pleo.
Expense transaction descriptions include the merchant name, and note from Pleo.
Receipts are also fetched where available along with the submitter.
