1Password SaaS Manager connects to LinkedIn Sales Navigator using SCIM.
The LinkedIn Sales Navigator SCIM interface is limited and does not currently support reading a list of users. Instead, SaaS Manager will look for users already assigned to the app, and will try and fetch these from Sales Navigator. Once users have been matched SaaS Manager can use the SCIM interface to initiate user management actions.
If SaaS Manager has already discovered user app assignments for Sales Navigator from your your identity provider (IdP) we will use those to look up users in Sales Navigator. However, if SaaS Manager has not been able to discover user app assignments you can manually export the user list from Sales Navigator and then imported into SaaS Manager on the Users tab.
The SCIM interface also does not return usage metrics. Again, these can be manually exported from Sales Navigator and imported into SaaS Manager.
Creating a SCIM token
- Sign in to Account Center.
- Select Settings > Global Settings > SCIM.
- Click + Add new SCIM configuration.
- Enter a configuration name (e.g. "1Password SaaS Manager"). If you enable auto-license assignment, you need to specify the Sales Navigator instance and the license type to assign. Licenses are assigned on a first come, first served basis.
- Click Generate token.
- Copy the access token from the Access token field.
SaaS Manager will only read data by default, so it will not interfere if you already have an identity provider in charge of provisioning and deprovisioning.
If you don't have an identity provider managing users, then just select the Provisioning and Deprovisioning checkboxes when you connect from SaaS Manager.
Provisioning and deprovisioning
- SCIM automates the provisioning of the license, and not the activation. Users will need to activate their own license.
- SalesNavigator licences are assigned based on rules defined in SalesNavigator.
- If you have enabled or plan on enabling SCIM for LinkedIn Learning, you must use the same unique identifiers for Sales Navigator and LinkedIn Learning to represent users in SCIM.
