Generating API Credentials

1. Using a user account with the Integration Administrator role, sign in to TriNet (https://identity.trinet.com).
2. Find the TriNet API tile within the TriNet Marketplace: Admin • Manager > Marketplace > Search all apps for "TriNet API" > View Details.
3. Click Set up Integration.
4. Select 'Trelica' from the Select an Integration drop-down list and review the level of access being granted to the API key.
5. Click Accept.
6. Copy the Company ID, Client ID and Client Secret.
   Do not navigate from this screen until the credentials are entered in the Trelica integration page or securely saved in a local location as they cannot be accessed again.
7. Click OK.

Disconnecting from the Marketplace

To disconnect API credentials from the Marketplace:

1. Go to Admin • Manger > Marketplace > My Connected Apps).
2. Click Disconnect from within My Connected Apps.

A new key and secret can be generated by disconnecting and following the steps in the Connecting to Obtain API Credentials for Integrations section above.

How TriNet works

Customers who have exempt employees have an option to add an early hire date in TriNet. This will allow the exempt new hires to be published to the TriNet API prior to their hire date (i.e. they will be available at midnight on their early access date).
